I Want & Need God and You Every Step of the Way

Image
I know you have been awaiting my podcast launching. Me too!  I am excited to share my heart and my passion with you. I have one podcast ready and two podcasts ready to record but the delay has been that my allergies have got the best of me, or as my youngest daughter said, "ole satan is trying to keep you from doing this." It comes as no surprise, he has always tried to take me down and all the plans for my future. He's afraid of my future, he's afraid of what I have to share. But no matter what he has done to me, I rise back up! I keep going maybe not as fast as I wish I could at times, but I eventually gain my strength back and get back up to speed.  So this time it's that the allergies and its sinus drainage has made me not sound at all like myself. With the beautiful sunny days I have been working outside a lot more in my garden and working in my lawns. So here I am waiting for this to pass so I can finally get the launching of my podcast accomplished and on i

Do You Really Want to Know What Someone's Words Do For You?

Image
You never know exactly what people think of you. For the most part we don't realize just how much good they may see in us and how well they may think of us. We simply tend to think they think mediocre thoughts of us and that isn't very powerful. We find it so encouraging to hear what someone has to say about us if it is good. Now of course they may not have good things to say so that is either on us or on them.  My journalism teacher in college shared with us that we really needed to learn to become people who could take criticism because it could help us to become better. We should not always see it as an attack but to see in ways to help us understand what others see, think and believe which may help us to be better at what we are attempting. It is what they call "Constructive Criticism." But I do believe that we are our worst critic and we tend by human nature to put ourselves down before we build ourselves us.  Once upon a time I was cleaning my young son's ro

It's Your Time. Go for It.

You were made for more than this. Yes, you were. You were made for a time such a this. So know that God knew the timing of your birth and your lifetime. If you do whats easy your life will be hard. You must put in the effort, if you do what is hard, your life will be easy. It doesn't always look what you may have thought it would look like getting there or followed a specific pattern but sometimes the journey is a little different. But that is ok, don't be discouraged. Make an appointment to show up to put your life in order and to begin to reach your potential. Never forget your "why" as to what you want and what you dream to be. Why did you want to do this anyhow? You answer may be in the hunger for your dream inside you. You have to continue to pull from that. Stay motivated. Remember you are always learning and for each day God wakes you up, it's never too late. Believe in yourself. Just like your body has various muscles remember that your mind is also a mus

It's ok to feel what you how you have. You are not alone.

If you do not find yourself discouraged these days, in fact for the past year I would say that is highly unusual. From experience I know that somedays it is just tough to get through the days without tears.  I know from talking to people that most of them want the same things I want, to simply live my life and enjoy the simple pleasures. Some of us have been more affected than others but we have all been affected by something we would never wish upon anyone or want for ourselves. If you find yourself sad, afraid and even lonely, that should be expected after all that we have had to endure this past year.  Probably like usual it seems not as many people are talking about these feelings even if they have actually experienced it themselves. Its like they want to appear stronger than they really are and they don't want anyone else knowing their business. And thats alright too, but some of us need to know that what we are feeling is ok and even normal. So, for those brave enough to admi

Believe. It's all in believing. I have heard many Christians mention that they have no place in politics. This is so far from the truth. If those politics do not align with God's Word you can bet God wants His people to be on the front lines and voicing and standing for their beliefs. You must know its not about playing nice, it's about taking a stand and yes God does know anger, it is called righteous anger. Righteous anger (Ephesians 4:26-27)  "Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,  and do not give the devil an opportunity." Righteous anger  stems from an anger  that arises when we witness an offense against God or His Word. Righteous anger  springs forth from a sense of justice, a moral compass of right and wrong, and a desire for things to be made right.  Righteous Anger is being angry at all the things that oppose God—unrighteousness, evil, idolatry, impurity, and sin—in the world without being motivated by sin.   Therefore,

God Speaking to Us Through the Clouds

Looked up in the sky this afternoon about to go to dinner to celebrate our daughter's birthday when we all say the number 17 as a formation in the clouds. There were no other clouds around.
